SCAN ME BABY ONE MORE TIME! I MEAN IT! ONLY 1 MORE TIME!

He had his full body cat scan today. He did so well! An hour of it! He’s never had to go an hour before. He is resting quite comfortably now. His breathing sounds so much better, not so labored. AND he’s not on any drugs!!

He is irritable and really over all this. He wants to go home. I feel his frustration & we have to make sure he moves thru it and doesn’t stay in it. He feels it and moves on. Martin is great at helping him do that.

I can see how much weight he has lost and it’s hard for me to see. His face looks good but I can see his hip bones. But I have to stay focused on his great progress! ANd it has been geat. When the doc asked him how he was today he said “AWESOME” SHe wrote that in his chart. One of the other medical staff saw that and had to come in and meet he kid who said he was AWESOME after everything he has been thru. The doc said that it effects people when they read his chart.

SHe came in a little while ago looking a bit nervous because it was only me here and we have something like a DO NO FEED THE ANIMALS sign on the front of Andrew’s chart only it reads DO NOT TALK TO THE RED HEAD or something to that effect. SHe did say that his cat scan looked real good. Oh good, she knows to talk to me like a 5 yr. old. Good Dr! BUT she then sez “he still has a bit of pneumonia” Abuh?? Wot u talking about doctor?? SHe hurried up out b 4 I could chuck something at her!! Again we focus on the wins and the progress. His white cell count continues to go up.

I was in mom mode yet again last night. I saw by his name on the big white board, a neon orange sign that said alert but couldn’t read what kind. Alls I know there’s an alert sign by my son’s name!! Thanks mom for making me nuerotic too! The gift that keeps on giving! So me being me starts to panic! I get Martin and we sneak into the nurses station like some Mission Impossible episode, I hear the music in my head & everything as I’m watching out for any stray nurses that might happen by quite the drama queen I am eh?? Martin gets closer and it sez “Name Alert” That’s right, name alert! Someone else w/the same last name as our ours! Phew! *wipes brow* crisis averted. ANd by crisis, I mean me falling on the floor going into fetal position, drooling and sucking my thumb & sobbing. Not a pretty site indeed.

SO all in all everything continues to get better! Can I have a dancing dog again please! I’m feeling a hula coming on…yup there it is Everybody put ur hands in the air and say Heeyyyy Ohhhhhh Heeyyyyy Ohhhhh & shake ur money maker (closest one I could find people. Work w/me!)

Now lets see Andrew’s throat HEALED and him eating till the comes home. Sorry no cow icons And his health better than it’s ever been! I feel an angel is warranted even 2 of them! Ahhh hell why not throw some dancing ones in to really celebrate his geat heath!! OOOOPS!! Almost forgot the the magick fairy!! My bad! Got have a little magick in your life!
