WE DID IT! WOO HOO!

In your face suckas! We smashed Las Vegas and Liverpool’s Santa fest!! We made the Gunniess Book Of Records!! That was on my goal list, make the Guinness Book of Records but I didn’t want to do anything strenuous or crazy. Ya know something easy.

Liverpool had around 6,000, Vegas had around 7,000. We had over 12,800 registrations! Official count will be in a few weeks. Alls I know is there there were loads and loads of Santas and the papers are reporting we doubled Liverpool and maybe Vegas! It was on the cover of the Belfast Telegraph, The Irish News and The Derry Journal!!

We all got up Sunday morning, probably a little later than we needed too because we were all mad dashing around trying to get our cheap felt Santa suits on and figure out exactly where to go. I walk down the hall and see Kenny was ready and sitting at his computer all Santad (yes I make up words!) up. Everyone else was still trying to get everything on. That in it self was a good show! Trying to figure out how to get the cheap plastic belt to stay on, trying to find pins to keep our Santa numbers on. Yea, we douldn’t find pins.

Chrissy had driven us back to Derry from Belfast Saturday and she stayed in our room on an air mattress. She has one she can throw in her car when ever she needs it. It’s always a slumber party when all the Irish family get together & sleep is hardly ever on the agenda. Me, Marts and Chrissy we’re laughing so hard, I thought I was going to cough up a lung! About what?? Dunno, all we do is talk shite and ROFLOAO! Itdoesn’t take much! The 6 months she stayed with us was like one long acid trip, if I had ever done acid which I have not…I’ve heard things.

No one had time to eat as we barely had enough time to get ready! We were trying to make it out the door to get the park and ride so we wouldn’t have to fight traffic in town. BUT we had to pose for at least one pic of the 7 of us! We all look like we ate Santa’s elves or something because we looked so big! LOL We had our clothes on underneath to stay warm is why.

We missed the park and ride but we had no problem finding a spot close to town and no traffic. As we walked closer to the Guild Hall, the Santa meeting place, we saw 1,000’s of Santas! It was cool looking. There was entertainment so we enjoyed that with all the other Santas while we waited to do our walk. I decided to close my eyes and see Andrew. I could see him standing with his arms around Martin and I in his Santa suit. For me, I saw him in the same cheap Santa suit we had to wear. Martin said he saw him in a nicer suit. I know Andrew would want to wear what we were and look just as cheesy as we did! :-D After all he likes cheese! LOL

While it was cloudy, even tho the day started off sunny, it didn’t really rain. There was a mild attempt and I told Martin and Andrew it fix it & make it stop! So they did. We had no rain during the walk.

The nieces & Elatia took pics & videos of us with their cell phones. The pic Elatia took a pic of me, Martin & her with those go go gadget arms of hers & I looked like I was going to rob a bank with my sunglasses!

As we started our walk and looked back, it was amazing to see the 1,000s upon 1,000s of Santas. It was a never ending sea of them! It looked really cool. Here I was afraid I would lose my Santa pants while walking, when in fact it was Naomi who did, TWICE! LOL Good thing we had our pants on underneath! As we walked we joined in with groups passing us singing Christmas Carols. Small towns are great!

They said that over 200,000 pounds (on my own computer now) was raised for charity. How great was that??

Afterwards we went to get a bite to eat, in our Santa garb. We wouldn’ve have fit in if we hadn’t of worn it!

It was great to share such a monumental event with family that is going down in history! It was very special.

I gotta go because my laptop is running out of juice. That’s why I don’t write about the deeper stuff, I don’t want to be interrupted with the computer dying. More later!

IT’S ALL GOOD! :-D:-D :-D
