Whine and ye shall receive, really works! I was in Andrew’s bathroom today and the fairy light hadn’t come on all day. So I was whining about it to Andrew how much I love it and how much it means to me when he turns the fairy light on. Lo and behold tonight when I went into his bathroom, the light was on! He’s a good child. But he’s still getting a smack when I get over there!
Today Martin and I were having a conversation about the work we have been doing on booking shows and the hypocrisy of a lot of churches. You know the, “All are welcomed. Why the hell are you calling me!?” kind of attitude. Andrew joined in our conversation and hilarity ensued. Religion tends to be so serious (which is why it’s not my cup of tea) and Andrew took the seriousness right out with showing us his “hood,” Snoop Dog meeting with the big Jayzizzle man. I even got a picture in my mind of Andrew and Jesus doing a whole homey hand greeting thang! All of us, yes including Andrew, were ROFLOAO! It’s times like these that help me get through the day, where it feels like the 3 of us are together again like the old days.
My thinking is, the more shows we do, the closer it will bring me to Andrew because we will be working together. That is why I am so anxious to get out there. First, it gets me out of the house, I’ve been sitting around here waaaay too long. Second, I will feel useful and a reason for staying here. Third, it brings me closer to Andrew. Fourth, connecting with people on a heart level. Fifth, all of this makes life worth living again. It’s a win win situation.
