TODAY WAS THE DAY! CON’T

Nov. 16th 2007 was Andrew’s date for his stem cell transplant. I still have the welcome home signs in my car for his stem cell welcome home party. I was really looking forward to it! Oh well…

What I would like for all of us to do, is to take a moment and to send love and gratitude to the man who was willing to give his stem cells for Andrew. We don’t know who he is but he is a pretty remarkable guy! He was willing to do whatever he needed to and be there whenever he was needed! That is amazing! Most donors are not that agreeable! Especially with the holidays coming! This man was a perfect 10 out of 10 match! I know Andrew will make sure he gets the energy of our gratitude and love!!

I may see if I can still send him a card and let him know how much we appreciate him taking the time to do everything that he did for our son! I want him to know how special he is!

We were going to decorate our isolation room with green Christmas lights that Andrew had in his room, streamers and welcome home balloons! Plus have more crystals around. We were going to really make it a kick ass healing vortex! I was going to get the pound bag of frankincense Andrew wanted and let that permeate the room. We were going to have the Dali Lama chanting cd playing that Leah gave us as Martin and I hold the space for Andrew’s body to welcome home his new stem cells. It only takes an hour to receive the stem cells and it’s done like a reg. blood transfusion. What stem cells could refuse all that love??

My sister was going to have her salon decorated for a welcome home party as well. Gina C one of his PICU nurses from the beginning, wanted to know when it was happening so she could visualize the happy home coming too along with us.

It would’ve been so incredibly powerful! Can you even imagine?? We would’ve raised that hospital roof off!! But that was not what was in the plan obviously. Hard to believe since Andrew was so looking forward to it. He couldn’t wait to get to transplant. He knew it was the home stretch. He heard that another kid’s stem cells took in 8 days, Andrew was going for 7! He wanted to be out of hospital in 4 weeks after transplant!

After everything he had already come through, no one doubted him anymore! He made a believer out of everybody!! Amy, his one night nurse didn’t think he’d make it to the 2nd floor, told him “Andrew, I believe there’s nothing you can’t do! You made a believer out of me!” I think that is why everyone was so stunned when he Ascended. The whole hospital, even the docs that said they didn’t give him much hope if at all of going into remission (which he did) were shocked!! No one saw this coming until right before when Jeremy and Martin were told to back off by Andrew’s Guides. Andrew had no plans of leaving either. His human side had every intention of staying. But when the Big Guys come for you, you have to go, you know it’s time. :-(

That’s how we know it was his time. It was just so weird how everything happened. It was a simple infection they were use to handling and was prepared for. I think Andrew wanted it that way so we would have no doubt that it was his time to go.

SO now the journey continues in a different way is all.

IT’S ALL GOOD!

What an amazing person the donor is, to have been willing to step forward in that way. I know that the blessings of that attitude are surrounding him and that he is truly blessed in every way, in the generosity of heart and soul that he embodies. May the donor be blessed in every way and surrounded by the angels.

    Love & light

Ahhh, Connie… I remember talking to you on the phone about the stem cell welcoming party… this one got to me. I tried a few times to post here yesterday and kept closing out because I couldn’t think of what to say.
Things were very hectic at work yesterday, and I kept getting more and more frustrated. I took a break and was sitting my myself complaining to myself (because really, who else is going to listen? LOL) when I could hear Andrew telling me to breathe, and I saw him standing in front of me. He put one hand on either side of my head and told me that the things that were bothering me just weren’t important. He told me to remember that I could choose joy in all situations. When I opened my eyes, he was gone – but I could hear him chuckling. It made me laugh too, and I immediately felt better. I still got a little uppity from time to time for the rest of the workday, but I kept remembering Andrew’s message and I felt better. I think this is the clearest I’ve ever seen or heard him. Pretty cool!
