*doin happy dance!* Our telepathy worked! He arrived tonight! Soooo that means he will be commandeering the lap top I use while he is here. Still manifesting Andrew’s new computer for his room. Andrew started building his computer before he was diagnosed. A pretty impressive one too. Not as impressive as the $16,000 MAC he was a week away from getting from the Children’s Dream Foundation, but an impressive one none the less. We need about another $1200 to finish building it.

I’m excited Wes will be here to help carry on Andrew’s tradition of putting up the Christmas tree Thanksgiving Eve and helping decorate it Thanksgiving Day.

Wes and I did a midnight 7-11 run last night just like the “old days.” I was wearing my Witch head slippers that has a flashing star on the top of her hat. That’s a “new day” thing. I couldn’t figure why the clerk had a bit of a smirk on his face until I got in the car and realized what I was wearing on my feet! I wasn’t planning on going in originally.
Wes will be here for 9 days so I’ll catcha back here when I can! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

That is way coolio Connie! And I love the visual of the witch slippers! :D

I wanted to put our tree up tonite – but I’ve been extra lazy today (did some shopping for turkey day and bought Guinness for the hubby…but that’s it!) So I probably get around to decking the halls tomorrow. For some reason, I want the holidays to be in full swing NOW!

    *waves HI! to Wes!*

LMAO over the 7-11 run. :-)

OK I’ve got to know…is your tree a live one and if so how does it last till the holidays are over???? It’s not like you live in the snow belt. lol
I know such deep questions lol

Enjoy all of your time with Wes. It’s all good!

    Love & hugs

  8. Pretty Mama says:

Nope, not a live one Leila. I couldn’t get a live one on Thanksgiving Eve years ago so we bought an artificial one. Plus tying to get rid of the live one after was too big of a pain.

Wes is feeling the same way we are, just wants to be alone. He was so glad to hear that no one was coming over for Thanksgiving. He felt that way on the 4th of July as well. He just wants it to be us as he is having a hard time with Andrew not being here too. It’s great to have a teenager here that was/is so close to Andrew and can help carry out Andrew’s traditions. This year is definitely tougher.

I feel a midnight run to Walmart for Christmas lights coming on! Witch slippers left behind! Altho that is where I got them.

  9. Dana says:

Awww…isn’t it great that you all get on so well? What a blessing for everyone! I love how families can grow in non traditional ways!

Did you do the Wally World run?

  10. admin says:

Yea, all I got is non traditional family here since my traditional family is all in Ireland. Hoping to be in a position to able to start coaxing a few of them over a little at a time next year. :-)

I’m gonna see if Wes is up for Wally World tonight if I can drag him from WOW long enough.

  11. Swati says:

WES! You’re the COOOOOOLEST for being here with Connie!!
