REFLECTIONS

Here is a poem of Martin’s that Andrew rewrote & finished with him. Martin pretended to be all upset about his creative work being re done but he loved every minute of it. The original was too baaaa waaa baaa waaaaing! LOL He even signed it!

This will be going in the front of the book. Not sure which book. You’ll just have to buy them all!!!! :-D

REFLECTIONS

I always did what I needed to
In the things that filled my days,
I blessed and helped my fellow man
In many different ways.

I left each dreary place I saw
Better than it was
I considered all my friends as one
And rallied to their cause

I filled each down and empty time
With pure and abstract thought
When feeling sorry was easier
Than the happiness it brought

I always planned to get the best
From each and every day,
And filled the empty times with love
Of self, so I could say:

I did it all with no regrets
And with each passing day
I will be with you always
To help you on your way.

We came home tonight from the comedy club and I went into his bathroom and no fairy light on. Martin goes in a little bit later and it was on!!!! Oh and he did put it on this morning for me! Isn’t he a good son??

IT’S ALL GOOD!

That is a great poem! Very profound without being overly wordy! I loved the parts about filling ‘down time with pure thought’ and ‘filling empty times with love of self’ and ‘getting the best out of everyday’. That’s awesome!

Awesome rewrite !!!!! Martin n Andrew I think I remember reading this one on one of Martins blogs or web sites that had a bunch of his poetry. This is much brighter with Andrews input. * He is such a good son *

Each time I read it I get more out of it. As hard as it is, it’s the beautiful moments he is constantly giving us that remind me how blessed I am! One, to have had the honor to raise such an amazing son. Two, to have such an amazing husband who is always there for me! Three, all of you here to love & support me through the most difficult time in my life!
