Martin was told by a team of doctors that it was highly unlikely that Andrew wouldn’t go into remission. Their hope, which was a huge long shot too, was to get Andrew down to 20% blass cells. Martin told them that that was unacceptable and Andrew would prove them WRONG! That happened after Andrew had 6 days at home. A nice welcome back huh?
Martin dealt with that information without me. He knew I wouldn’t have been able to handle it. Of course Andrew did indeed prove them wrong and did go into remission after his 2nd round of chemo and got down to 12% blass cells! After that Andrew made believers out of the all doctors. He became a super hero to us all!
As much fun as I had with Elatia on my b-day this year, it helped take a bit of the sting out, but I couldn’t forget that it was one year ago that Andrew came home for 6 days. It was the best b-day present EVER! A year ago I was able to kiss on my Muck. Hell, 10 months ago I was able to kiss on him, hold his hand, have him look at me in the middle of the night and tell me that he loved me. I like still being able to say “last year when I took Andrew to Corey and CJ’s…” or “Last year when we were in So-Cal together…” I am going to miss being able to say that in a few months.
See? Too much time to think! Waaaay too much time to think and miss! I need to get out there and do what we do best, teach and entertain!

Nope not losing my stalker status ever :-P. I was blind for 3 days with the old cornea cut ripping open again. My eyes were patched up. Today I can see again. Woooohoooo!!!
Not to sound like a stuck record, but to add to Leah’s list of what you’ll be talking about Andrew, I want add some more like:
“Oh last night when I met Adrew at the castle….”
“This evening I’ll be meeting Andrew on the moon because we’ve decided to charge my ethereal crystals there”.
“Day before yesterday Andrew and I were talking in his bedroom, and he was teasing me about something so I smacked him on his butt”.
“This morning Andrew was here in my room and I just got up from my bed and hugged him, and kissed him”.
Oh the list can go on…but you get the idea ;-).
I have to say….18 years ago today, Cassie was born….so it seems so WRONG to be hearing this part of the story on your end!!! 8/23/1990 brought me my first run of motherhood!!! & a year ago…you were on a journey that I can’t ever imagine, when tomorrow comes….a year ago today will be yet another mantra…I just recently went thru a MAJOR bought of miss my Momitis & it has been over 4 yrs; & you know what, I STILL think in those terms, 4 years ago today…we were…….& it was my Mom!!! Not my child….I love you guys Connie & I can not wait to hopefully have another stay at the Esmeralda in honour of YOUR amazing child!! & in honour of us!!! This time we get 2 bottles of wine instead of one & nuts!! or ice cream…what was it!!!

See Tammy? There is no time! :-) Is there a reason why we wouldn’t be able to stay at the Esmeralda? I’m hoping to hear on Monday what date we can perform. I’m hoping it will be around Oct 24th. Jourdan is going to try and make it to the ceremony/celebration on Oct 22 for Andrew. I will be making an announcement for any So-Cal people who want to join us on Laguna Beach.
