I am so happy! *doin happy dance* Merlin nearly jumped out of the guys arms when he saw me. Quite different from last nite. While he was happy to see me he laid quietly in my arms like a baby last night.
They brought out a bag of all kinds of stuff in it. We saw syringes and that was bringing back memories!! But they are to give him his pain killer orally. Plus he’s on antibiotics for a few months. We looked at his blood work and Martin knew what all the numbers meant of course. Even I was familiar with a lot of it. Merlin’s white count was high due to infection but not off the charts. *phew* It was good to see a blood report ALL in normal range for a change!
I decided last night to just surrender the amount due on his surgery. I mean, all this is so insane in my life right now. It’s absolutely ridiculous! I was going to just ask what Kimberly suggested and see if the Humane Society could help me out…again. They put Wolfie down for us back in Aug. for free. Oh yea, remember we lost our other dog too during all this!!!! Is it any wonder why I’m ready to crack!
We get all the after care info and she says the balance is “two thirty six ten” I then asked if there was a decimal in there somewhere! After dealing with All Children’s Hosp and Merlin needing an additional 8 teeth pulled and being quoted $642-$675, I had to be sure! Indeed there was! And right where I wanted the decimal to be! *doin happy dance AGAIN* The total for Merlin’s care was $541! Which I still can’t afford at the mo but it’s better than over $1,000!!! Which I was afraid it would be! I didn’t know if I would have enough left on another card to cover it! But I did and it’s less than I thought it would be so that made me feel better. Plus Merlin’s acting like he had nothing done! He’s an animal!!!! LOL
Gotta go and pick up Martin now. I’ll be back later.

I’m so glad to hear that. Poor puppy will have a hard time eating, but I’m very glad he is doing OK. I was worried there for a bit, had my fingers crossed really hard… and my crystals too.

As, you can see I have a lot of free time today-just can’t seem to stay away from your blog-Merlin, will be just fine in no time with all the love from her Mom & Dad.If you would like I can give you an easy homemade dog food recipe, it’s nice and soft like baby food. ( I cook for my dog’s) and a broth that may help speed up Merlin’s healing process and be easy for her to eat(when she’s ready) or may be given by syringe if watered down.Again, I’m so Happy she’s home.

Thanks Leah! I was so worried because the side of Merlin’s head was so swollen. I was afraid they would find something worse than they thought. Hmmmm wonder why I’d think that??!! It’s a mystery. *rolls eyes*

I can’t believe Merlin is running around like nothing has happened! I mean 12 teeth removed!!!!! AND his other teeth left, yes there is still a good number left, look so white! I’m gonna make sure they stay that way! :-D What else I got to do??!
