LET THERE BE LIGHT!

I was upset because the bulb in Andrew’s fairy light in his bathroom had burned out. Andrew told Martin to check it and that’s how we found out it was out. The light had been on the day before. As most of you know, Andrew turns on the fairy light we got as a present for Christmas from David and Colleen.

I was concerned that by changing the burned out bulb in the fairy light that maybe Andrew couldn’t turn the new one on anymore or maybe there was something up with the original bulb which is why it came on by itself. But NOPE! My fears were unfounded. I changed the bulb on Saturday and nothing happened until late Sunday night. I went into his bathroom before I went to bed and THE LIGHT WAS ON! I was so excited!

I went into his bathroom later in the afternoon today before I went to see Elatia at work, and the light was on again! YAY!! Then on my way home from seeing Elatia, Tom Petty’s song was on yet again, “I Won’t Back Down.” His reminder to me that I am strong enough to carry on here & I can’t back down. He knows everyday I wonder at some point if I will be able to carry on. That song was followed by the Cold Play’s song that reminds me of Andrew, “Viva la Vido.” It’s “our” new song now. It’s because of the words, “When I ruled the world” Andrew was planning on taking over and ruling the world. He and Jeremy were plotting their take over before he was diagnosed. I am so glad that we are getting new “our songs” to share.

Since I can’t have the old way of “our special things” that we shared together, Andrew is creating new special things for us to share together, so the thought of losing one of the new things we are sharing was upsetting to me. I should know better, Andrew does not disappoint. He’s always been a man of his word. He’s still watching out for his Pretty Mama. :-)

IT’S ALL GOOD!

Connie – that son of yours is certainly very, very clever in how he is reassuring you that he is still around.

My mum’s bedroom lamp still has the same bulb in it and it is on my bedside table. It has been 4 years now and it is very comforting in a weird sort of (well, not to you and Martin) way.
