No co-inkeedink here! We were talking with a dear friend today, Shaun, about the music cd. He is going to be a part of it. His dad, Michael, and Andrew are hanging together now. Andrew met Michael after Michael crossed back in Aug 2002 at 48yo. It’s a story that will be in the book, about how Andrew met him. I knew Michael, and was devastated when he crossed, it was so sudden and out of the blue. I had received an e-mail from him 3 days prior. He was another one who would make you feel so special when you talked to him.
So as Shaun and Martin were discussing the cd, Shaun suggested checking out a particular guitar that is awesome for performing on your own. Martin went to the website and what was the song the guy was playing to demonstrate this guitar?? That’s right, IMAGINE! Co-inkeedink?? I think not. When Shaun did his first gig last year on his own when we were in the hospital, he sang Imagine for Andrew.
Martin and Shaun shared a very cool moment when we were in England on Abbey road when we were there in June 2003. I have the coolest pic of them walking the zebra walk like the Beatles. Both of them could feel their own father’s there with them as they did the walk. Michael and Ray, my father in law, were Beatles fans, as was/is Andrew. It took several takes in between the laughter, dodging cars and other tourists trying to do the same thing we were, but I got the “money shot”! I have to find that pic again. We also signed the wall in front of the Abbey Road studio where the Beatles did a lot of recording.
While it would’ve been cool to have recorded the cd with Shaun in the same basement where he and his dad recorded, we’ll have to settle for doing it here and sending it to Shaun to add his part. One of these days we will perform together!
Imagine the possibilities!
IT’S ALL GOOD!
