We have been talking about getting a tattoo in honor of Andrew. Martin, Andrew and I were going to get one when he got out but now it’s me, Martin and Elatia doing it. I wanted one with the Celtic triple knot or trilisk, “the Charmed” symbol with a green heart in the center. The symbol stands for the power of three.
I got the nudge, feeling and or “hit” to get it done while in Ireland. It was probably Andrew pushing me since I didn’t hear him. It was an overwhelming feeling that we should do it here. I asked my niece, Naomi, about it since she has several detailed very cool tattoos. She tells me there’s 2 artists, one in Derry and one in Belfast. The one in Derry donated a £60 tattoo to the benefit they had for Andrew recently which I was very touched by. SO we’re hoping to get it done today or tomorrow.
I explained to Naomi what we wanted and she drew up something far better than I ever could’ve imagined. It’s 3 of the knots intertwined together in a triangle and the emerald green heart in the middle cradled by the 3 knots. It looks like the knots are hugging the heart. Underneath in Gaelic it says “Pure Heart” It’s beautiful! We are getting them on the inside of our upper left wrists.
What better place to get our tattoos to honor Andrew than in one of his favorite places in the world, Ireland! We’re going up to town today, that’s what you do here, you go up to town, to meet the guy today and see when he can do it. If he can do it today then great! I was thinking tomorrow. He’s a busy guy but I think he will do what he can to get us in since it’s us. YOu know we’ll pull the Ascended Son card if need be! :-D
Tomorrow we are doing a memorial for Andrew at his Aunt Julie’s house. It looks like it’s going to be bigger than we thought. Julie has probably close to 10, maybe more of Andrew’s friends and cousins that he hung out with when he would come here. His one cousin Jordan, who Andrew really liked, is crushed. He couldn’t go to school when he heard about Andrew. I remember when Andrew told me he “Met this really cool new kid Jordan” and I had to tell him that Jordan was his 3rd cousin! Andrew said “Is there anyone I’m NOT related to here?” I said “Umm pretty much no!” LOL I told Andrew I remember when Jordan was born and he is named Jordan because that’s his mother’s maiden name.
Julie is hanging twinkle lights outside. She planted a lavender bush for Andrew not knowing it was his favorite essential oil in hospital. So now Martin and I have to come up with something really special and more of a ceremony for Andrew’s cousins and friends. I want to make it special for them. I know I brought the music cd from his service and now I can’t find it. Bloody Hell!
Gotta get ready to go up to town now. :-)
IT’S ALL GOOD!
