We’re getting ready to go back to the hospital tomorrow. :-( We’ve had such a great stay at home!! I wish this was all behind us already!!
Tomorrow he is scheduled for surgery to have his medi port put in his chest then a ct scan, start chemo and God knows what else done. Andrew has really enjoyed being left alone and doing things on his own like going potty & NOT having to measure it :-) and getting his own drinks. No one coming in to take his blood pressure, temperature or take blood every few hours. EATING! Yes, he’s been eating!! It’s been wonderful. It’s been like a vacation!!
So please hold the intention that all will go extremely well this round. He is getting the same amount of strong chemo where they have an emergency team on stand by when they give it to him :-0 Only this time it’s for not as long. He’s got 8 days of chemo and it gets weaker as the days go on I believe, or maybe I’m just a dreamer but I know I’m not the only one. :-)
He’s going in a lot healthier than the first time so it should be better. I am just concerned about his throat again. He can’t afford not to eat! When the chemo kills all the white cells, that’s when the ulcers in the mouth start & it’s too sore to eat.
I am fighting off a cold now so I have to stay away from Andrew and wear a mask. :-( I’m taking all kinds of holistic stuff for it & resting as much as I can.
So that’s the latest for now. I’ll be back in the wee hours of the morning on Wed. unless we get settled on our new space early tomorrow night. I will let u know how our first day back went.
