WHAT A FREAKIN EXCITING DAY TODAY!!!

Andrew put on his shoes and went down to the cafeteria w/us!!!! We took the wheelchair but when we got down there he walked around checking out the food. He got to meet the cook whose been waiting on me. We even ate down there!!! Well he didn’t, but he enjoyed it so much being out of his room & spending time w/us! I am sooooo excited!!! Being able to hug my son while walking again?? There is nothing better!! I didn’t want to let him go!

Then we went to the PICU to see his nurses there. Gina wasn’t in but Julie was there. She was so surprised! SHe had tears in her eyes when he WALKED in!!! She gave him a big hug. SHe was so happy to see him. A few others came by to see him in an upright position for a change.

THIS WAS THE BEST B-DAY PRESSIE EVER! EVER! EVER!!!!!

It doesn’t matter that we won’t be home by Wednesday for my b-day. Who gives a rat’s a$$!!! Andrew is up and walking around!! His numbers continue to climb! The one that needs to be 500 is 451.2 Wooot Wooot! You know the mama gene is soooo happy !!

Andrew was crying today when I came in because we won’t be home Wed. for my b-day. I told him that it didn’t matter! What the best present was, was him continuing to get better! That was the exciting part. Those are the best gifts! I told him as long as we are together and he’s feeling great I don’t need anything else. I told him he keeps giving me presents everyday! We’ll have a party in the hospital!

Leah professionally recorded the song for him today and it’s on the new myspace page she did for Andrew. SHe said only to show family because it’s not ready yet but it sounds even better than the original. SHe’s working on the slide show for it as well.
